The network shown in the diagram was created as a demo for the Joint Techs Winter 2009 Conference in College Station, Texas. The demo consists of connecting devices in Texas A&M University (TAMU) @ the Memorial Student Center to devices in Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic to demonstrate how high-definition videoconferencing system called coUniverse works by establishing a dynamic circuit using Internet2 Dynamic Circuit Networks Inter-Domain Controllers (IDC) and switches. Starting from College Station, switches @ TAMU linked to a switch @ the LEARN POP in Houston, Texas. From there, the connection was extended to Internet2 by conecting to Internet2 Core Director in Houston. From Houston, the connection went to Chicago where it passed to the Starlight network and to CESNET in Europe. Finally the link was completed in Prague and Brno.
